The heart and soul behind this farm was Joy Chemmachel, a successful businessman from Chicago who had an unwavering passion for agriculture. Though Joy left us five years ago, his spirit continues to inspire everything we do at J Yes Farms. Joy Chemmachel, the visionary founder of J Yes Farms, was not only a successful businessman but also an artist with a profound connection to his agricultural roots. As the eighth child in a farming family from Kuttanad, he grew up surrounded by a love for the land. In 2004, Joy took a leap of faith to follow his passion and established J Yes Agriculture Farm, which now spans over 28 acres in the beautiful Kuttanad region of Kerala. One of Joy's dreams for the farm was to foster farm tourism, and he made that a reality through a variety of engaging activities and events held throughout the year.
At J Yes Farms, we’re dedicated to educating our visitors about sustainable farming practices and demonstrating how food travels from seed to plate. We also collaborate with local schools to provide educational programs that teach students about agriculture and healthy eating habits. The farm is open daily from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
The general entry fee is ₹50 per person.
Visitors can enjoy boating, fish farming, bird farming, paddy cultivation, an aquarium gallery, agricultural museum, nursery visits, and children’s play areas.
